Why me?
I'm a mom, I'm great with kids and I have the patience to deal with even the fussiest baby or toddler. I like to capture personality and spirit. I look for the special candid moments, not just straight on portraits with a boring background. Taking photos while a child is playing or exploring a new place usually come out the best. I have a background in Theatrical Design and Technology which has helped me develop an artistic eye and I also have the technical skills to understand lighting and color balance!

High resolution, digitally edited images for you to download and print at your convenience. If you need help I have a professional printer I work with.

Why does photography cost so much?
What initially turned me away from ever hiring a photographer for my kids was the price! And what if my kid is uncooperative?! What I've learned, however, is that digital editing is a process. For as much time as is spent taking photos, so much more time is spent editing and narrowing down photos for the client. The artsy, stylistic, photos that are so popular today, do not come without digital editing. And the re-touching! I have edited out drool, scratches, flaky baby skin, power lines, and even merged two family photos together to get one where everyone is looking at the camera! You're not just paying for some shutter clicks, you're paying for all the behind the scenes work to get a beautiful image.

What would I like from you?
Ideas of the shots you want. Or not, I can wing it, but I'm happy to work with you prior to our session to figure out our approach. Pinterest is a great tool for getting and developing ideas! Send me some thoughts, themes, and we'll make it happen.

What's most important?
Safety and comfort are my biggest priorities! I want you the parent, and your child, to have an enjoyable experience. If they're not having fun, there's no way we're going to get good pictures. I will never put your child at risk, and I would never want you to feel uncomfortable.
